To The Editor:
Vermont has the distinction of being one of the oldest, least diverse states in the nation. That single fact, now more than ever, threatens the economic and cultural health critical to our future. It means young people don’t come here to carry on our Vermont values and the young people who are here leave.
We cannot play it safe, voting for the candidate that got us here. We need the candidate that’s going to get us there – a prosperous, healthy future for our kids and their kids. I will be voting for the candidate that I believe will get us there. David Zuckerman is not the safe bet, he’s the best bet to take us where we need to go. His values – economy, environment, racial justice and education – those are the values of my Vermont 20-something children. Vermont needs to vote young. Our health and their future depend on it.
