To The Editor:
It goes without saying, these are very difficult times and will get economically worse in the next year. The COVID-19 pandemic has hit us all but in a dramatic effect with local businesses. These times call for innovation and bold moves to bring us back to a sustainable economy. Many folks in Vermont have had to survive on unemployment compensation, those that received it, and those that have lost jobs or diminished employment.
I believe David Zuckerman can move us forward. He has served six terms in the House, two terms in the Senate and is now our lieutenant governor.
Our state economy is comprised mostly of small businesses. We could lose 30 to 40% of these "lifeline" operations in the next year. We need an active, progressive approach to save our communities and our farms.
