To The Editor:

We’ve been following the Town Halls and debates for Vermont’s Democratic nomination for governor.  We’re vitally interested in government’s approach to combatting the multiple threats bearing down on us, not just in Vermont, but globally. We have listened carefully to what our gubernatorial candidates have to say on the topics of climate and energy, social and economic justice and, of course, COVID-19.

We’ve been impressed by David Zuckerman; his grasp of and commitment to these intertwined issues. David has a long track record of fighting for climate justice, which includes caring for the health of the soil and the health of all people.  As a farmer, he’s intimately acquainted with what it takes to build healthy soil and a healthy rural economy.  As a legislator and now as lt. governor, he advocates for the rights of all Vermonters to build healthy bodies, healthy communities and a healthy environment.

We’ve always admired David’s approach to people and our planet.  And that’s why he has our vote in the August 11 primary.
