To The Editor:
How do you choose for whom to vote? Personal acquaintance? Friend’s recommendation? Endorsements? Shared Values? They’re all valid reasons, but one stands above the others: shared values. Follow incumbents’ votes. For others, listen to their words. Have those words been put into action?
Maxine Grad has a strong record of legislation that helps all Vermonters. Her voting record won a 100 percent rating from the Vermont Public Interest Research Group. Maxine deserves our votes so she can continue her great work.
Ed Read has followed the governor’s lead, earning a 57 percent rating for his dissenting votes on legislation intended to uplift the lives of ordinary Vermonters. I like Ed as a Valley neighbor, but don’t share those values.
Kari Dolan has a 20-plus-year record of public service to Vermont — youth sports coach, water quality expert, Waitsfield Select Board. Kari is smart, energetic and optimistic.
Kari and Maxine get my vote!
