Maxine Grad is a proven, experienced leader and I support Maxine Grad for her extraordinary leadership as our state representative.
Her leadership has led to the passage of significant bills that have made the lives of citizens better, especially for victims of sexual violence and child protection. She spearheaded the bill to eliminate the statute of limitations on sexual abuse cases, giving the victim no limit on time to report the incident. Her bill to improve funding and certification for the
SANE (sexual assault nurse examiner) program has strengthened and improved access for sexual assault and rape victims. Maxine has worked on reform for the juvenile justice system and continues to serve on Vermont's Judicial Commission on Family Treatment Courts.
As an effective leader for 18 years, she has the confidence and respect of her colleagues in the House and has served for the past four years as chair of the Judiciary Committee. In this vital position, we cannot afford to lose her . We must re-elect her to continue her work.
