To The Editor:
Thank you for printing my sermon. You did a good job of cutting it down to the size you needed, with one exception. You left out what I regard as a very important sentence, which I decided to ask you to print by itself. It served in the sermon as a transition between the two parts of what I had to say, but it can well stand alone. The problem I perceive is that all the oxygen used for dealing with God’s creation is focused (if I may mix my metaphors) on global warming, but – and now here is my sentence: If we continue to pollute our air as we have been, we may all need to move to Canada, which would be too bad, but if we continue to harm our water as we have been, we will destroy life itself.
