To The Editor:
Representative Maxine Grad tends toward understated but beneath her no-frills re-election campaign is one of the strongest legislators at the State House, serving Vermonters in the Mad River Valley for 17 years. Maxine arrived at the State House armed with a law degree and masters in environmental law. She has put that education to use. There's not enough space in an op-ed for all of her accomplishments so here is a sampling: She is chair of the Judiciary Committee and serves on the Judicial Nominating Board, Joint House and Senate Justice Oversight Committee and the Highway Safety Board. She's created laws to protect EMS, health care workers and police. She's dedicated to the military and their families, receiving certificates of appreciation from the Department of Defense. Children, teens, women, animal rights -- she works for them all. Maxine represents Vermonters and their values. We need her expertise going forward. She will have my vote.
