To The Editor:
The Waitsfield Cemetery Commission would like to ask that people stop using the Village Cemetery on Bridge Street to access the Wu Ledges (Dennyland) trail system. The biking and foot traffic through the cemetery is disruptive to the neighbors there and is upsetting to those with loved ones buried in the cemetery. Additionally, it often does not allow enough parking for people visiting the cemetery.
The Conservation Commission has designated the end of Hastings Road as the proper access to that trail system. They are hoping to establish another access point, but at this time Wu Ledges should only be accessed via Hastings Road. Thank you for understanding and please feel free to share.
