I applaud Paul Hanke on his opinion piece, in particular his comment regarding, "Moreover, the Second Amendment was written in the days of muzzleloaders. ..."

I have often wondered why this fact has not been raised every time people argue to allow bump stocks and other rapid-fire weapons. Sure, let everyone have a muzzleloader if they want and they could maybe get a shot off every 30 seconds or so. I doubt we would have the mass shootings we have today.
