To The Editor:
As a state senator I want a leader with progressive values I can count on. That's why I am supporting Sue Minter for governor.
Sue and I share many priorities: making college affordable, raising the minimum wage, moving from property more toward income to fund schools, affordable health care and investments in infrastructure.
Sue has also spoken about tackling water quality problems and building Vermont's outdoor recreation industry to strengthen our rural economy.
Other candidates talk about these issues, but Sue is best able to bring people together to make things happen. An experienced legislator, who managed one of our largest state agencies, her leadership is proven.
Candidates are also talking a lot about progressive agendas and the ideas of Bernie Sanders.
But, policy changes take more than rhetoric. They take achievable goals that improve people’s lives now, while tackling longer-term challenges. As governor, Sue Minter will do just that.
