To The Editor:

(This letter is addressed Dear Friends)

For the past 18 years I have worked at The Bridges Resort, 15 of those as the general manager. My family and I have decided it is time for a change. As my family and I move into the next phase of our lives, I want to let everyone in this great community know what a wonderful experience this has been. Effective May 27, I will be leaving the resort.

I have had the opportunity to work with some of the greatest staff anyone could ask for and I will miss seeing them every day. Building a team of professionals who work collaboratively and who are dedicated to The Bridges Resort and the greater community has shown me what makes a truly great team. Their support and loyalty is unmatched and any organization would be lucky to have them. Bob Lockett, Kim Martino, Tracey Stanier, Errol Nattrass, Cliff Rankin and Chris Rusch have been incredible to work with, to name a few.

I have had the opportunity to collaborate with the most responsive and professional local vendors that Vermont has to offer on many different projects. My relationships with local vendors like Belknap Plumbing and Heating, Hale Electric, The Valley Reporter, Resort Building & Maintenance, Gillespie Fuels, VickeryHill and Waitsfield Telecom, to name a few, have been rewarding and productive.

There are many homeowners who have been very influential in my life and I will miss communicating and seeing them regularly but look forward to seeing them around town.

Raising two children at the resort was a wonderful experience for our entire family. We have had memorable experiences with people we have met through working at the resort and we are all thankful for the experience.

Serving on many different civic groups in The Valley has been educational and fulfilling. I’m proud to have served on the Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce, Mad River Valley Planning District, Fayston Planning Commission and currently the Fayston Development Review Board. The people I have had the opportunity to collaborate with and, hopefully, will continue to in the future, have become friends and colleagues.

I wish the best for all involved with the resort and wish them luck in their future endeavors. Thank you and see you around The Valley.
