To The Editor:

It is hard for me to understand how our select board is even discussing repaving about 50 percent of Joslin Hill Road when the core foundation is substandard and could even be called rotten. I have zero experience in construction, but from what I have heard at select board meetings in person and on TV, we are past the point of having a choice. The option of spending money not to really correct the situation but to keep our debt payment level for five years is not available when the road is in such bad condition. We could do some cheap patching and live with this condition or go ahead and actually rebuild.
