To The Editor:
I would like to thank all my supporters, new friends and old, who made this foray into politics a fulfilling endeavor. We helped bring important issues to the fore and we infused the discussion with new ideas for solving our crushing property tax problems. Thank you to The Valley Reporter for allowing the intellectual side to be engaged and for enabling all candidates to make their positions known even without a calendar that allowed substantive canvassing.
Thank you to the other candidates for conducting respectful and amiable campaigns. To our incumbents, who have been tasked by the will of our community to represent us two more years, I wish you luck with tackling the immense challenges of the coming legislative session. I do not envy you, but I do respect your rising to the task, as so few do, to tackle this crucial work that impacts us all.
