A Sheep Show: Photography by Rebecca Silbernagel pops up at Product Think Tank
On Sunday, October 7. Silbernagel, Fayston, and her work will be in the shop from 2 to 5 p.m. with her photo prints of sheep and other Mad River Valley critters. Product Think Tank offers pieces in wool, cotton and viscose for men and women designed by owner Annemarie Furey and is sourced in countries with democratic values.
“I am grateful for Annemarie’s enthusiastic support of my photography,” said Silbernagel of Product Think Tank owner and designer Furey. “When Annemarie first opened her shop, she asked me for sheep photos to compliment her lovely wool knits. I only had two prints ready to hang, so I offered to take more. That’s when Annemarie had the idea for a sheep show, and I had a summer project.”

The Mad River Valley has several sheep farmers raising a variety of breeds. “Sheep are wonderfully expressive,” noted Silbernagel. “They have large eyes and soft muzzles. Unlike curious cows, who rush my lens and try to lick me, sheep in the field are more chill.”
Silbernagel is known for her portraits of people and pets. She is the person behind the dog blog, www.wagmorevt.com. In addition to her limited print run of sheep portraits, her pop-up photo show will offer prints of colorful butterflies, cow portraits, and her take on an iconic local landscape. She will also debut her greeting card line.
The shop is located next to the Waitsfield Post Office in the Mad River Green Shops. All are welcome, and admission is free.
