GMVS played Montpelier in boys' soccer semifinals on Tuesday, October 29.
GMVS went into the second half scoreless with Montpelier having scored one in the first half. In the 55th minute Theo Morton scored from a pass by David Fisk; the score was 1-1 and went into overtime.
In overtime, GMVS controlled the play scoring the winning goal with 2:21 minutes left in the game. Philippe Ratte scored the golden goal on a cross from Logan Slattery for the 2-1 victory over Montpelier.
GMVS heads to the championship game versus Mt. Abraham on Saturday, November 2, at Randolph Union High School, Randolph.
