Mad River Glen and the Mad River Garden Center Liver Spots, two top teams during the first half of the season, both suffered losses on Presidents Day. Waitsfield-Champlain Valley Telecom avenged two straight losses with a 5-3 victory over the Liver Spots. Word has it that Ed Read, after learning of his team's loss, booked a flight to the Congo to recruit some more gorillas.

Jamieson Insurance improved its record with a 5-3 victory over MRG. (Jamieson was later penalized one goal for not playing co-ed to make it 5-4.)
The team won-lost records with three weeks left in the season are: MRG 2-2; Liver Spots 2-2; Jamieson 2-1; WCVT 1-2. Next Monday evening MRG squares off against the Liver Spots as they vie for the league-leading third win and WCVT seeks to even its record in its game against Jamieson, while Jamieson could tie for the league lead with a victory. There is still no sign of Sugarbush.
The spectacle is open to the public.
