For those who have the time and inclination to cover the whole section, it usually takes around four to five hours. Participants will carpool to the base of Lincoln Gap on the Warren side, hike up to the top of the Gap (since the road is closed), and then work north on the trail to West Hill Road.
Those who can only make it for an hour or two are still welcome. Such volunteers can head in directly from West Hill Road and work toward the south for as long as they can.
Work gloves, gaiters, waterproof boots, warm layers, food, water, and hot drinks are recommended. Organizers will have several pairs of loppers and a chainsaw, but if others can provide another chainsaw or other tools that would be a great help.
Volunteers are asked to RSVP by 9 p.m. on Friday, December 4, by calling 496-3490 or emailing Audrey at
