Formerly the owner (with his wife Millie) of an inn in Waitsfield (now Evergreen Place), Stinson is an avid cyclist and skier as well as a pilot. Oliver is a writer and published author whose work appears in national and international publications. He is an avid cyclist and cross country skier.
The two take up the winter sports column writing from veteran ski writer John Atkinson, Moretown. Atkinson, after writing Along The Fall Line and a summer column, What Goes Up, since 2000, is handing the task over to these two. He will continue writing feature stories for The Valley Reporter in addition to his other writing.
"We're excited to have Bill and Peter writing our winter sports columns this year. They are great writers and I think our readers will enjoy their perspectives. We will miss John's work and appreciate his many years of service to The Valley Reporter," said editor Lisa Loomis.
