Fire department annual fishing derby is June 10
The Waitsfield-Fayston Fire Department's 19th annual fishing derby is Sunday, June 10, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Hartshorn's Pond (in front of the Hartshorn residence at 364 Hartshorn Road in Waitsfield). All kids to age 14 are welcome. Refreshments will be provided. First prize is a fishing rod and reel, courtesy of Waitsfield Hardware.
Warren FD holds annual fishing derby
The Warren Fire Department will hold its annual fishing derby on Sunday, June 10, at Kids Brook in Warren. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. at the firehouse and the derby takes place from noon to 4 p.m. for kids age 14 and under. There will be refreshments and trophies for largest, smallest and most fish. Let's Go Fishing instructors will be on hand along with other fire department members to help out and give instruction on the brook.
