Ultimate is a team sport played on a field approximately the size of a football field. The object of the game is to complete a pass in the end zone. Players cannot run while in possession of the disc. Any time a pass is not completed there is an immediate turn over.
"This is a fast, hard-running team sport. The abilities to throw and catch the disc are necessary," said organizer Bob Meany in a press release. "Those wishing to play should be in good physical condition and wear cleats. All are welcome but children may be too small to compete on a field with adults. A decision of the suitability of children playing will be made on a case-by-case basis."

Disc Golf is much like regular golf with discs replacing the ball. The object is to land the disc in the basket of a pole hole. Portable pole holes will be on site.
"This offers a great opportunity to develop skills for playing this sport on an open field without the hazards that are found on a regular course," Meany said.
Area residents are invited to learn how to throw the multiple types of golf discs before visiting courses in the area.
