Coach Peter Arsenault reported that Harwood girls’ volleyball lost 0-3 to Middlebury (25-13, 25-9, 25-18) on September 28.
Junior outside hitter, #14, Caroline Carst had four kills and 80 percent serve receive passing.
Senior middle blocker, #13, Addison Thomas had a kill and a block. Senior #3 Sadie McKibben and sophomore #6 Savannah Fulton both stayed busy during many rallies with 20 assist attempts each. Junior Libero #1 Emily Severance had two service aces and 95 percent serve receive passing.

Harwood girls’ varsity volleyball lost to Colchester 3 to 1 (25-20, 25-22, 23, 25, 25-16)
Harwood sophomore, outside hitter, #8 Aspen Linskey had three kills, five service points and an ace, plus four digs. Senior middle blocker, #21 Brianna Forkey has three service aces, eight service points, two kills and a block. Junior middle blocker, #13, Addison Thomas had four kills and a block. Sophomore #6 Savannah Fulton had three kills a block and five assists.
For Colchester Emma Foss had three aces, six kills and twelve digs. Ally Whelihan had aces, six kills, three blocks and two digs. Lillian Kascha-Hare had 12 service points and three digs. Payton Vilmont had 17 assists, two digs, three blocks and one ace. Lily Niemi-Moskowitz had two aces, two kills, three blocks and six digs.
Key plays from match included Colchester’s five-point service run by Kascha-Hare in the first set that put Colchester up by six at 23-18. Another key play included Harwood’s five-point service run by Forkey in the fourth set to get Harwood back in the game after a
a 12-18 deficit to then tie it up 19-19.
