Harwood’s softball team dropped two more games this past week against Thetford and Northfield as they remain in search of their first win of the season.
On Thursday, April 27, Harwood lost 24-8 against Thetford and two days later on Saturday, April 29, they lost to Northfield 24-2.
The biggest issue for the Highlanders continues to be on the pitching mound, but coach Ed Lamson remains positive that his sophomore pitchers will progressively improve.
Harwood’s starting pitcher remains out with a broken foot, forcing Lamson to put in two younger pitchers who have never played the position before.
“As a whole they can hit and they can field; they just have to work on the pitching,” Lamson said after their loss to Thetford.
