Mountain Creek Horse Farm, Warren, had their first show debut at the Champlain Valley Open Horse Show. Erin Elwell, 11, Warren, rode Nutmeg in three classes. This was her first time showing. Charlotte Pearson, 13, Waitsfield, also first time showing, rode Howie in two classes. Anna Fortier, 16, Waitsfield, took her new horse Tilda Marie for her first outing.
“Everyone had a great time and did well. We even brought some ribbons home,” said trainer/owner Charlotte Robinson who owns and runs the farm with Chelsea Robinson and Karin Stroem.
The same weekend, Charlotte Robinson and Chelsea Robinson competed in the Huntington Farm Schooling Trials. Chelsea Robinson and Mayberry won third in their division and Charlotte Robinson and Pearl placed sixth.
They will be holding a horse show at the farm on Saturday, September 24. Classes start at 10 a.m. After the show, there will be a barbecue and live music. Call (802) 793-4060 or email
