First-grade buddies are in Whitney Doenges' class
We got together with our first-grade buddies and made cute little turkeys with our hand prints for Thanksgiving. We are not completely done but so far it is coming along great. Our buddies painted our hands brown and we painted their hands, then we pressed our hands on the paper to make it look like a turkey. Next, we will add feathers and eyes. When you look at the paper you can really see the size difference between our turkeys and our buddies’ little turkeys.
This is our fourth project that we have done with our buddies and also probably my favorite. One reason why I liked it so much is because when our buddies smear the paint all over our hands it feels really good and tickles at the same time. When we were done with our hand prints, we wrote poems with our buddies that have to do with things that we like about Thanksgiving or stuff that is close to Thanksgiving. We will post pictures of this project when it is finished.
