Richard Harold Lord (Dick), 84, a resident of Pineville, NC, passed away at White Oak Manor in Charlotte, NC, on November 19, 2013.

He leaves his wife of 60 years, Marian Dyson Lord. Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Raymond F. Sr. and E. Lillian Morse Lord and was predeceased by his brother, Raymond F. Lord Jr.

A graduate of Cranston East High School, Ohio State University National Mortgage School and Edgewood Junior College, he served with the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict.

He was a past master counselor of Providence Order of De Molay earning the degree of Chevalier and a 59-year member of St. Johns' Lodge #1 F&AM Providence.

He was a former member of Phillips Memorial Baptist Church, Cranston, RI, where he had served as their moderator and was a member of Bristol Baptist Church, Bristol, RI.

After 30 years with the RI Hospital Trust National Bank, he retired in 1983 as vice president in the mortgage department.

A loving son, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, besides his wife he leaves three sons, Wayne D. and wife Deb of Edmond, OK, Mark W. and wife Marsha of Charlotte, NC, and Richard M. Lord and wife Debra Lord of North Fayston, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Inurnment will be in the Cypress Columbarium at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence, RI.
