Lillianne G. Dean, 76, of Essex Junction, formerly of Winooski, died peacefully on Saturday, August 3, 2013, with loving family at her side, after four years of battling pancreatic cancer.
Lillianne was born in Winooski, VT, on June 27, 1937, the daughter of Louis Phillippe Thibault and Cecile (Lanoue) Thibault. She was formerly married to Peter Dean of Burlington, VT.
Lillianne was employed at IBM and the state of Vermont and volunteered for many years at Waterbury Elementary School and the St.Vincent De Paul Center at St. Francis Xavier Church in Winooski.
She was a lifelong parishioner at St. Francis Xavier Church and was strong in her faith up to the very end. She trusted in God's plan for her and was at peace since the day she was diagnosed.
She enjoyed traveling, especially in Vermont during the foliage season, doing puzzles, playing cards and Scrabble with family and was an avid New York Giants fan.
Lillianne is survived by her four children, Myles Dean and his fiancée Maria Bjerklow of Ornskoldsvik, Sweden, Monica Cayia and her husband Bob of Burlington, VT, Karen Dean of Fayston, VT, and Adrian Dean of Bolton, CT; nine grandchildren, Kristen Cayia-Kuklis, Beth Hammond, Sarah Dean, Hannah Dean, Samuel Dean, Nathan Vasseur, Ethan Vasseur, Johnathan Dean, and Carter Dean; seven great-grandchildren, Lovah, Leiah, Norah, Hannah, Faith, Sean, and Sophia; her sisters and brothers, Sr. Yvette Thibault, C.S.C., Rita and Paul Dufresne, Bernard and Jeannette Thibault, Helen and Rod Martin, Richard Thibault, Victor and Shirley Thibault, and Alice and Ron L'Ecuyer; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by her sister Jeanne and her brother Louis G. and her son-in-law James Vasseur.
