Stanley Currier, formerly of Warren, Vermont, quietly passed away on April 13, 2013, at his home in Youngsville, Louisiana.
He was born April 25, 1930, in Moretown, Vermont, to Fred and Dora Currier.
He served in the United States Army from 1946 to 1948, and then joined the Marine Corps from 1951 to 1952.
He spent the last several years driving trucks for Acme Trucking Co. out of Lafayette, Louisiana, from which he retired.
He leaves behind his former wife, Gloria Currier of Warren; his son, Stephen Currier, and wife, Janice, of Methuen, Massachusetts; his daughter, Pennilee Reynells, and husband, Peter, of Waitsfield; son, Scott Currier, of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Pam Werner, and husband, Brad, of Houston, Texas; son, Brett Currier, of Lafayette, LA; and son, Christian Currier, of Warren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Benson, of Clearwater, Florida. He also leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will take place, Sunday, July 7, 2013, at 1 p.m. in South Duxbury Cemetery.
