Michael C. Piazza, 71, of Contoocook, NH, formerly of Delray Beach, FL, Moretown, VT, and Bridgeport, CT, died April 19, 2011, at Concord Hospital.
Michael C., son of Frank and Agnes Piazza, was born in Bridgeport, CT, on July 29, 1939. He is survived by his brother Frank A. Piazza of Moretown, VT; wife Dorothy Blanchard of Contoocook, NH; daughters Robin Lockett of Lake Worth, FL, and Allie Jane Piazza of Contoocook, NH; sons Michael K. Piazza of Lake Worth, FL, and Cale and Frank Piazza, who reside in California. He is predeceased by his son Charles Scott Piazza. He has five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Michael owned and operated several businesses in Connecticut, Vermont and New Hampshire which included Lawn Maintenance and Pool Service, Mill Restaurant and Hopkinton Landscape. He was an avid storyteller, amateur photojournalist and devoted NASCAR racing fan. He enjoyed traveling the country visiting family and friends and took great pleasure in driving. His family will always remember his smile, his eyes and his unique character. He will be greatly missed.
On June 12, his family gathered at Point Reyes, CA. Family and friends will meet on July 8, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Mad River Glen and on July 9, 2011, at his residence in Contoocook, NY, to celebrate his life.
