Haven Decker Quinn, age 26, of San Diego, CA, formerly of Sudbury,
MA, and Medfield, MA, died suddenly of a stroke on Thursday, October 7,
2010.
Beloved son of Judith J. Johnson of Sudbury and William F. Quinn III and
Patricia of Hingham, MA; the loving grandson of Mrs. David S. Johnson
of Lyndon, VT, and the late David Johnson and of Wilma Rondomanski of
Hingham. Haven is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Haven was a 2002 graduate of Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School, a
2003 graduate of Bridgeton Academy in Maine and a 2007 graduate of Saint
Michael's College in Vermont with a degree in journalism. He was the
sports managing editor and columnist for the <MI>St. Mike's
Defender<D> student newspaper and a freelance writer for the
<MI>Burlington Free Press<D>. He honed his early baseball
skills in The Valley Fun League under coaches Denby and Ryley. He
excelled in ice hockey and lacrosse in high school as well as college
varsity sports. Haven worked for Continental Resources in San Diego, CA,
as an account manager. Haven grew up on Bragg Hill as a weekender, was a
shareholder and skier at Mad River Glen, learned to snowboard at
Sugarbush, and is now resting in peace in the South Fayston Cemetery. He
will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.
A graveside service was held in South Fayston Cemetery, Bragg Hill Road, Fayston, on Saturday, October 16, 2010, at noon.
