Leona M. Miller, 91 (known by all as Granny), of Foley, AL, formerly
N. Fayston, VT, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on July 22,
2010.
She is survived by two children, Shirley Johnson-Foley, AL, and Danny
Bonnell and spouse Debbie of Bay Minette, AL; nine grandchildren; 24
great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded
in death by her lifetime companion, W. C. Bonnell (Blackie), and Terry
Lee Rice, grandson.
In her early years, she worked at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, KS. Later in life she became a chef and retired in Vermont.
She loved being surrounded by family and friends and working outdoors
with her flowers. Her smile and good humor will be cherished and forever
loved and remembered.
Rest in peace, "Granny," we love you.
A memorial service will be held at the N. Fayston Town Hall, Sunday, August 1, 2010, from noon to 4 p.m.
