Sidney I. Long, 72, of Hancock, died Thursday, January 7, 2010, unexpectedly at his home in Hancock.
He was born March 27, 1937, in Warren, the son of the late Roy and Mildred (Downer) Long.
Sid worked at Weyerhaeuser Mill in Hancock for over 40 years and was well liked.
He is survived by his five siblings and many nieces and nephews and by his beloved companion Roxie.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2010, at 2 p.m.,
at the Hancock Community Church. The Rev. Wayne Holsman will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Addison
County Humane Society at 236 Boardman Street, Middlebury, VT 05753.
