On July 17, 2009, Barbara Jean Fuller of Waterbury Center went home to be with her Lord and Savior Christ Jesus at the age of 69. She leaves behind a loving husband, Roderick Fuller, with whom she celebrated 52 years of marriage; four children, Timothy and wife Karen, Deborah and husband John, Mark and wife Nubia, Daniel and wife Brigitte; her six grandchildren, Nathaniel, Michelle, Ethan, Maxime, Jessica and Samantha; and her great-granddaughter, Lily Elizabeth. Her family and friends grieve her absence, but rejoice in her presence with the Lord.

Barbara Jean, the daughter of Robert and Ruby (Bedell) McKay was born in Topeka, KA, and graduated from high school in Lake Worth, FL. Shortly following graduation she moved to Vermont with her husband Roderick, where she lived for the remainder of her life. Barbara worked at Prints and Patches Quilt Shop in Stowe for many years where she and her friends enjoyed designing and selling quilts. She created and designed her own patterns for Vermont-made table runners, which became popular throughout New England.

Barbara met Christ as her Savior at the age of 17 and committed to follow Him. She had a love for many things; her greatest desire was to use her life as a witness for Christ to her family, friends, community and home church, Hunger Mountain Christian Assembly. She devoted her life to serving her family and others with a heart of love and loyalty. She wrote in her Bible, "Lord, this is your day, as these hours unfold, I want to walk with you, allowing your Spirit full control since I belong to you, and no day is a waste, help me to live under your empowering authority and Spirit." Barbara fulfilled her desire to impact her community for Christ. She faithfully served others and the Lord with all of her days.

A service celebrating Barbara's life was held from Hunger Mountain Christian Assembly, Route 100, Waterbury Center on Wednesday, July 22, where friends and family joined together. Visitation and viewing began at 11 a.m. at the church. A Coronation service honoring Barbara Jean Fuller's life was held at 12 noon followed by a reception in the church dining room.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts would be appreciated to the Barbara Fuller Memorial Fund, C/O of the Northfield Savings Bank, 100 State Street, Suite 1, Montpelier VT 05602.
