Greg was a 2003 graduate of Harwood Union High School, where he was a member of the varsity teams of lacrosse, hockey and cross country. He continued his education at Vermont Technical College and was currently working on his degree in business management at Community College of Vermont. In addition to school, Greg worked for the Stowe Mountain Resort and recently was a representative in the travel industry.
In his leisure time he enjoyed running, going to see live music, camping and traveling; but most of all, he was the happiest spending time with his brother and sister, his companion, Georgia, as well as his many friends.
Greg is survived by his parents, Joseph and Bindy Martin of Waterbury Center; his maternal grandparents, Milford and Glenda Ramey of Waterbury Center; his sister and brother, Katlyn Martin and Christopher Martin, both of Waterbury Center; his companion, Georgia Burrell of Stowe; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held from the Wesley United Methodist Church in Waterbury on Wednesday, November 19, at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow in the church dining room. Interment will be in the Waterbury Center Cemetery. Visitation will take place at the church on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. The family requests that flowers be omitted; rather memorial gifts would be appreciated to the Ice Center of Washington West, Inc., 546 River Road, Waterbury, VT 05676.
