He had been married to Deborah Rogers. He married Lorraine Ryan on July 30, 1988, at Mad River Glen.
Kendall had worked for Albert Lavanway in Fayston as a finish carpenter for many years, as well as several other construction companies in The Valley. He most recently worked for Kingsbury Construction in Waitsfield as a heavy equipment operator for approximately 20 years.
He is a member of the Waitsfield Congregational Church. He was very active in Boy Scouts, he was an Eagle Scout and the only member of Troop 100 to ever receive the "Order of the Arrow" and "God and Country" award. In high school he played baseball, soccer, basketball, wrestling and was an exchange student. He was also a scout leader, enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Wimble of Waitsfield; his mother, Loretta "Rett" Wimble of Waitsfield; four children, Andrew "AJ" Wimble and his fiancée Harlie of Granville, Natasha Wimble of Watervilet, NY, Linda Senical and her husband Kevin of Davenport, FL, Anne Touchette and her husband Hank of Waterbury; one brother, James "Jamey" Wimble and his wife Susan of Waitsfield; six grandchildren, Alicia Dunbar, Hannah Touchette, Ashley Touchette, Nico Villaneuva, Jaedyn Wimble and Luzenia Rivera; and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his father "Bunker" Wimble and sister, Merrie-Beth Wimble.
There are no calling hours. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, January 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. at 617 Village Woods in Waitsfield. Donations may be made in his memory to the Mad River Valley Ambulance Service, P.O. Box 305, Waitsfield, VT 05673 or VT Fish and Wildlife, 103 S. Main Street, Building 10 South, Waterbury, VT 05671 to be used for youth programs.
