Maliss (Koeppel) Fowler, 79, of Granby, Conn., passed away Sunday, May 6, 2007, at her home. Born in Hopewell, NJ, daughter of the late George and Avis (Black) Koeppel, she grew up in New Jersey, graduated from Princeton High School, Princeton, NJ and lived in Bolton before moving to Granby 47 years ago. Maliss was an interior designer at Nassau Furniture for many years and a member of the Interior Design Society of Chicago. She was a member of South Congregational Church in Granby, Salmon Brook Historical Society and The Salmon Brook Water District. Her interests included gourmet cooking, art, architecture, antiques and traveling. Maliss was a longtime lover of cats in her life. She loved to learn, taking college level art and architecture courses late in her life, and she loved to instruct, teaching water color and still life painting as well as gourmet cooking from her home. She is survived by three sons, R. Craig Fowler and his wife Kathryn of Chambersburg, PA, Bruce G. Fowler of Warren, VT, Dwight J. Fowler and his wife Deborah of Marlborough; six grandchildren, Jennifer Lyn and her husband Adam Schelhasse, Lindsay Erin Fowler, Ginger Francis Fowler, Georgia Helen Fowler, Michael Richard Fowler and Brittany Leigh Fowler; three great grandchildren, Clayton, Beatrice, and Jack Schelhasse. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 12, at 2 p.m. at the South Congregational Church, 242 Salmon Brook Street, Granby, Conn., with the Rev. Dennis Moon officiating. Burial will be private at the Holcombe Riverview Cemetery, Lambertville, NJ. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to The Salmon Brook Historical Society, P.O.
