He was born October 7, 1918, the son of Charles Homer Kennedy and Mary Leighton Kennedy.
Mr. Kennedy, who was self-employed, lived his entire life on the family farm in North Duxbury. He was a skilled gardener and woodsman, and was an amateur historian with a special interest in the Civil War.
He is survived by his sister, Ruth Kennedy Hartshorn of Newton, MA, and four nephews, Dr. Kevin Hartshorn of New, MA, Thomas K. Slayton of Montpelier, Peter Slayton of Orange and Helen Gale Slayton Harris of Berlin.
There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
