Randall J. Raymond, 47, of Barre Town, passed away in the comfort of his home and family on Monday, January 08, 2007. Born in Montpelier on May 13, 1959, he was the son of Robert J. and Peggy (Shover) Raymond. On June 18, 1982, he married Tammie Lowell in Waterbury Center.
Randy spent his youth in Waterbury Center and attended Harwood Union High School in Duxbury. Following his marriage, Randy lived in Morrisville and was employed at the Vermont State Hospital in Waterbury for seven years. For the next 12 years, Randy was a stay-at-home dad and later went to work at Bourne's Service Center for six years. Most recently he was employed by Sterling Area Services until 2003.
Randy's leisure time was spent enjoying his family, especially his sons and granddaughter, camping, kayaking, watching movies and playing video games.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Peggy Raymond of Barre Town; his sons, Bradley Lowell-Raymond of Morrisville, Tylor Lowell-Raymond and his girlfriend, Robyn Langford, of Morrisville; a granddaughter, Emerald Raymond; two brothers, Robert M. Raymond and his wife, Brenda, of Taberg, NY, Michael Raymond and his partner, Sean Ward, of Montpelier; a sister, Tammy Raymond Mattote, and her husband, Mark, of Williamstown; a sister-in-law, Cindy Raymond of Jericho; his nieces, Amy Raymond, Lilly Raymond, Monica Raymond, Cala Raymond, Amanda Raymond; his nephews, James Raymond, Jason Merchant, Jeffrey Merchant, Ryan Raymond, Curtis Raymond, Benjamin Raymond and Colby Raymond; and his pet bird, "Jewel." He was predeceased by a brother, Todd F. Raymond.
Funeral services will be held from the Perkins-Parker Funeral Home in Waterbury on Friday, January 12, 2007, at 2 p.m. Entombment will be in Hope Cemetery Vault pending spring interment services in the Waterbury Center Cemetery.
