ObitLawNancy McClure Law

Nancy McClure Law passed away on November 22, 2024. She was surrounded by loved ones.

She is survived by her sister, Patricia McClure Clapp, daughters Tracey R. Law and Samantha Law Buczek and her grandchildren Delaney Stanier, Sadie Stanier, Ivan Buczek and Ava Buczek.

She was born on June 17, 1938, in Brooklyn, New York, to Fanny and Lewis McClure. She was raised in Manhasset, NY. After graduating, she lived in NYC and worked for American Airlines.

She met her future husband, Robert R. Law, on a ski trip in VT. They went their separate ways. A year later, they met again in New York City. He was working for VT Ski Tourism at the World's Fair in NYC. They dated for two weeks and got engaged and soon after were married. They moved to VT in 1964.

She and her family were proud of her accomplishments. She was an artist, having her paintings all over the world. She owned Law, Phelon and Associates Real Estate with her friend Judy Phelon. She helped start the Artisans’ Gallery, now on Bridge Street. In 1988, she and Bob were sick of the cold and moved to Antigua and ran the beautiful resort, The Galleon Beach Club.

They did come back to VT after a few years. And then decided to retire to Bradenton, FL. Nancy moved back to The Valley to be close to her family after Bob passed away in June of 2015.

There will be a celebration of life this summer.
