obit HowardMarkGoldfarbHoward (Howie) Mark Goldfarb, 55, of Barre, Vermont, passed away on July 24, 2023, after an epic battle against acute myeloid leukemia.

Howie was born on November 4, 1967, to Illona (Wein) and Irwin Goldfarb in New York, NY. He grew up in Massapequa, NY, where heearned the nickname "How-How-Howie."

Howie spent most of his college years at Arizona State University, where his openness led him to easily make a diverse group of friends. He became a member of the Theta Delta Chi fraternity and fully embraced the brotherhood it afforded. He later transferred to the University of North Carolina Greensboro, where he earned his bachelor's degree in business.

After college, Howie moved to southern California to pursue a career in sales and marketing. Eventually, he returned to the East Coast and met his wife, Isadora Snapp, in 2010. He moved to her home state of Vermont soon after meeting. They married there in 2012 and raised three children together. In Vermont, Howie pursued his true gift of hospitality by waiting tables and bartending. Moving up the ranks, he later managed restaurants and distilleries. Howie was known to locals and visiting patrons for his warmth, laugh, and margaritas.

He loved mountain biking, hiking, exploring the Green Mountains, and marveling at their beauty. He was also a profound lover of music, including rock, punk, house, and electronic. His passion for live music led him to travel far and wide to see the Grateful Dead and, in his youth, attend Coachella and Burning Man. Howie was always the life of the party, and he made a lasting impression on everyone he met. Visit awrfh.com to share memories and condolences.
