Irene R. Lambert, 85, of Granville, died March 24, 2022, in Rutland, Vermont.
She was born May 4, 1936, in Granville; the daughter of Herman and Ruba (Lewis) Brown. She attended Granville and Rochester schools and was married to Henry Lambert in Hancock in 1995. Irene had also lived in Hancock, Warren, and Tennessee before returning to Granville. She had worked at Weyerhauser, Chesapeake Hardwood, and Sugarbush Property Management. Irene enjoyed knitting, cooking, gardening, reading, dancing and puzzle books.
Survivors include her sons Cecil Waite of Rochester, Fred Waite Jr. and Gary Waite and his wife Betty both of Hancock, and Gordon Waite and his wife Charlene of Tennessee; daughter Cindy Leno and husband James of Hancock, and Gale Lambert and husband Larri of Tennessee; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, son Glen, and brothers Norman and Roland Brown.
