Robert Melvin Stevens passed peacefully on January 9, 2022, at the age of 92.
He was born on August 13, 1929, in Everett, Massachusetts.
Bob was an avid skier (known as “everyday Bob”), biker and golfer until the end.
He married Sonja Olson on September 29, 1952; they had four children and 46 years together before her passing. He is survived by his partner Julie Pease, daughters Janet and Lisa, son Bob, their partners, his 11 grandchildren and their families, and many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, father and mother and two brothers, Bill and Fred, and sister Elinor. He was also predeceased by his youngest daughter Laura.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mansfield Place, UVM Medical Center and McClure Miller Respite House for the fantastic care they gave Bob and his family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on Bob’s behalf to the McClure Miller Respite House. Due to COVID-19 and winter closing for burials, services will be held in the spring.
