Sharon Marie Swanson, 72, of Duxbury, VT, formerly of New Haven, CT, peacefully passed away September 11, 2020. Sharon was born March 21, 1948, in Milford, CT.
She was a retired caregiver and home cleaner in the Waterbury and Waitsfield area.
Sharon had a generous spirit. She loved volunteering in her community and helping those in need. She was the first to lend a hand to neighbors after Hurricane Katrina and participated in the March of Dimes each fall.
In summers Sharon enjoyed working on the Gaylord farm. An avid gardener, she spent hours in her greenhouse and filled her land with beautiful flowers and plants.
She loved cooking authentic Italian food, attending church with friends, reading her Daily Word, dressing up to go out for dinner, and making her house a home.
Sharon was a wonderful woman who touched the lives of everyone she met. She spread joy and love everywhere she went. She will always be remembered.
Predeceased by her husband Brett F. Swanson, she leaves behind her beloved daughter Amy Swanson, son-in-law Dearl Miller; brother Jimmy Orsillo and wife Maddy; sister-in-law Diane Swanson; daughter-in-law Britt Bakes; and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
A private service will be held at the family's discretion. There are no calling hours.
