Mary Therese Brightbill, 86, passed away on December 11, 2019, in Berlin, VT. She was born in Union, NJ, on November 7, 1933. She graduated from the College of St. Elizabeth in Morristown, NJ, in 1955 with degrees in math and English. She later earned her master’s degree with honors in education from Rutgers University in 1971. She became a teacher and taught kindergarten and third grade in Bridgewater, NJ, for 23 years.
She had a passion for reading, was an amateur painter and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She also loved to travel. She and her husband of 59 years, Robert Brightbill, traveled extensively to all 50 of the United States and around the world.
She is also survived by her son, Jerry, and his wife, Lauren, and two grandchildren, Audrey and Cole. She was predeceased by her sister, Anne (Nancy) Principato, and her brothers, Charles and Joe Noble.
