Cameron Randall Fennell of Fayston, VT, and Greenwich, CT, left this life peacefully on Tuesday, October 22, 2019. He was 24 years old. He is survived by his loving parents, Lorraine Randall and Frank Fennell, and by his sister Kristen Fennell. Lorraine and Frank both lived in The Valley for many years, Lorraine, a former ski instructor at Sugarbush and a local business owner, and Frank, marketing manager for Nikon, Inc., before moving to Greenwich, CT.
Cameron was born in Cambodia in 1995 and completed our family in 1998. Cameron and his older sister, Kristen, both grew up skiing at Sugarbush, both participating in Diamond Dogs and GMVS ski programs at Sugarbush and continuing on as weekend warriors through their years as adults. Cameron also loved hiking the Long Trail and the peacefulness that he found overlooking Sunset Ledge.
Cameron graduated from Greenwich High School in Connecticut in 2013 where he had excelled on the Cardinals baseball team. Cameron worked in New York City as a plumber’s apprentice and was also working toward his degree. He loved creating music and writing original lyrics. He was a gifted athlete with a passion for baseball and skiing, a caring and compassionate person who loved his family, friends, and pets and brought joy to so many.
His kind nature and great smile will be forever missed.
The Randall-Fennell family requests that donations be made to the Greenwich Old Timers Athletic Association (a 501c3 nonprofit organization supporting youth sports and student athletes) for a scholarship in memory of Cameron. As a senior in high school Cameron was a very proud recipient of a scholarship from the Old Timers Athletic Association and we want other high school athletes to be able to continue to benefit and pursue their college dreams, while honoring Cameron.
