Elizabeth (Betsy) Arthur Kohler died peacefully in her sleep April 13, 2018, at the age of 89 at The Manor in Morrisville, VT. Betsy was a deeply spiritual and thoughtful person with a lifelong passion for her church and serving her community. She married M. Tyler Kohler and settled in Garrison, Maryland, to raise their family. After retirement, they relocated to a home they built in Waitsfield and later to Copley Woodlands in Stowe.
Betsy was a founding member of St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church and served on the board of Evergreen Place. She and Tyler became champions of Habitat for Humanity and raised money selling African butterfly art to build many homes in their community.
Betsy is survived by her sister, Robbin Jordan, and her five children, Randolph, John, Molly, Carden and Robbin; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A private memorial will be held over the summer. Those wishing to honor Betsy’s memory are asked to make a donation to Habitat for Humanity at www.habitat.org, 800-422-4828.
