Joyce Marshall ObitJoyce May (Granger) Marshall, 72, a longtime resident of Waterbury and more recently of Barre, passed away in the comfort of her family at Mayo Healthcare in Northfield on Wednesday morning, July 12, 2017. Born in Laconia, NH, on May 9, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Carl M. and Mildred M. (Currier) Granger. On October 8, 1966, she married Ray Henry Marshall in Montpelier. Ray predeceased Joyce on October 24, 2012.

Joyce was a 1963 graduate of Laconia (NH) High School. Following her marriage, she was happy and busy as a homemaker and raising her family. In her leisure time she enjoyed boating and fishing, exploring the back roads of Vermont and New Hampshire with Ray, dancing and spending time with her grandchildren.

Joyce is loved and mourned by her children, Susan Connolly and her husband Robert of Duxbury, Judy Long and her husband Anthony of Fayston, and John Marshall and his companion Tammy Hammond of Waterbury Center; six grandchildren, Amanda (Connolly) Poulen and her husband Chris, Robert Connolly II, Cody Long and his wife Hannah, Loren Marshall, Cadance Hammond and Haley Hammond; three great-grandchildren, Hannah, Sydney and Emily Poulen; her brothers, Carl M. Granger Jr. of Laconia, NH, and Richard A. Granger of AZ; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.

Friends and family are invited to the Best Western (Hearth Room), 45 Blush Hill Road, Waterbury, for a time of visitation and remembrance on Sunday, July 23, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m. Inurnment in Waterbury Center Cemetery will be privately held.
