Carter Phillip Griffin, 4 months, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 18, 2016. Born in Burlington on June 2, 2016, he was the son of Erik S. and Carrie M. (Grace) Griffin.
Carter is loved and mourned by his parents, Erik and Carrie Griffin of Waterbury Center; his siblings, Taylor Griffin, Clara Griffin, Blair Griffin and his twin sister Aleeya Griffin; his maternal grandparents, Steve and Mary Grace of Waterbury Center; his paternal grandparents, Steve Griffin and his fiancée Donna Blanchard of Richmond, and Patti Tomeny of Waterbury; his paternal great-grandmother, Lois Andrews of Waterbury; as well aunts, uncles, and extended family. Carter is predeceased by his paternal step-grandfather, Phill Tomeny, and his paternal great-grandmother, Elizabeth (Wing) Griffin.
Carter will be remembered for his bright eyes, unending smiles and adoring sweetness, gone too soon from our world.
A Mass of the Angels was celebrated from St. Andrew Catholic Church in Waterbury on Monday, October 24, 2016, at 11 a.m. with a reception following in the church Parish Hall. The family requests that flowers be omitted; rather memorial gifts in Carter’s name would be appreciated to Carrie and Erik Griffin, 158 Worcester View Road, Waterbury Center, VT 05677 to be used at the family’s discretion.
