Ramona Eleanor Shaw, a 12-year resident of Fortier Community Care Home, Barre, Vermont, passed away on April 12, 2016, at Central Vermont Medical Center. Born on December 12, 1930, in Waitsfield, Ramona graduated from Waitsfield High School and worked as an operator at Waitsfield Telephone Company.
Monie is survived by her sisters and brothers, Jeanne Chartier, Edith Kiernan, Carlie Shaw and Gale Shaw; as well as her niece, Theresa Patterson; nephew, Cedric Neil; and extended family.
The family would like to thank Marie and Larry Fortier for the wonderful care given to Monie during her years at their facility and the staff of Central Vermont Medical Center for their kindness during the last days of her life.
At the request of Ramona, there will be no services.
