Eula Floreine “Flo” (Hill) Johnson, 94, of St. Simons Island, Georgia, died March 18, 2016, in the presence of her daughter Sharon (Johnson) Moser and son-in-law Richard Moser.
She was born September 22, 1921, in Faxon, Oklahoma, a daughter of the late Thomas Edgar Hill and the late Effie (Bailey) Hill. Most of her life she lived in Dellwood, Missouri, where she was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by her husband, Merrel Johnson, her brother, Keith Hill, and two brothers-in-law, Virgil Buffington and Curtis Edwards.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon (Johnson) Moser and Richard Moser of St. Simons Island, Georgia; two sisters, Ann (Hill) Buffington of Silver City, New Mexico, and Norma (Hill) Edwards of Austin, Texas; a brother, Byron Hill of Piggott, Arizona; grandchildren Michael and Suzanne (Crowley) Ezell of Columbus, Ohio, and Christopher and Nigist (Baraki) Ezell of Valley Stream, New York; step-grandchildren, Kerry and Jade Boie Moser of No. Grafton, Massachusetts, and Kristopher and Sara (Klingenberg) Moser of Seattle, Washington. Mrs. Johnson is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, two nieces and three nephews.
A memorial ceremony will be held in Piggott, Arizona, in late spring. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, Georgia 32525.
