Obit Martin Johnson  Olef Martin Johnson passed away on December 16, 2015. He was 83 years old.

Olef was born on February 9, 1932, to his parents, Olef and Ruth Johnson, in New York, New York. Olef served as a fighter pilot in the U.S. Marine Corps and spent his working life as a pilot in the airline industry. He was a member of the Lake Mansfield Trout Club in Vermont as well as a member of Sugarbush Soaring. Olef has been a resident of Vancouver, Washington, for the past 10 years.

Olef is survived by his daughter, Kathleen (husband Qais) Sharif of Camas, Washington; two sons, Christopher Johnson of Lake Zurich, Illinois, and Peter (wife Margaret) Johnson of Crystal Lake, Illinois; as well as seven grandchildren, Araabi, Zane, Katy, Erin, Maureen, Sydney and Ryan. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eileen; daughter, Sharon; and his brother, Richard.

Visitation for Olef will be held at Brown’s Stoller Memorial Chapel, Monday, December 28, 2015, from 4 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Camas, Washington, Tuesday, December 29, at 9:30 a.m., with a graveside service and military honors to follow at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
